Overview

After updating to a new version of Velixo Reports, you may see a message similar to the following:

❗️This variant of the message is only displayed if your connection uses the Customization Mode. If you're seeing a confirmation dialogue that asks you whether you'd like to configure the inquiries now, see this article instead.

Also note that older versions of Velixo Reports may say: "not set up or need upgrading"; as long as the pop-up mentions the customization mode, follow the current guide.

❗ Velixo Insider Upgrade - September 2023

The Velixo Insider update released on the 25 September 2023 has introduced support for retrieving GL balances using the master financial calendar.  In this version of the product, additional inquiries need to be set up; this warning is duplicated in the update pop-up window.

The following new inquiries have been added to the product:

  1. VelixoReportsPro-FinPeriodsV2 (required)
  2. VelixoReportsPro-GLHistoryMaster (optional, only to use the Master Financial Calendar functionality)
  3. VelixoReportsPro-GLHistoryLastActivityMaster (optional, only to use the Master Financial Calendar functionality)
  4. VelixoReportsPro-PMHistoryMaster (optional, only to use the Master Financial Calendar functionality)

All these new inquiries come as part of the latest Velixo customization package

Note:

If your ERP administrator cannot publish the updated customization on short notice, the inquiries can also be imported from the following XML files, using the Generic Inquiry screen of your ERP system.

Right-click on each link below and select "Save Link As" to save the files to your computer prior to importing them to your ERP system:

Revert to the previous version of Velixo Classic

As a last resort, if configurations of the new required inquiries is not possible, you can uninstall Velixo Classic and install the previous version that did not depend on the aforementioned inquiries. Click here to download the previous version of Velixo Classic Insider.

Possible cause 1

If you see this message immediately after updating Velixo, it is displayed because the updated version of Velixo includes new functionality that depends on a not-yet-configured generic inquiry in Acumatica.

This is the most common situation where you can continue to work normally until the Acumatica Customization Project is updated:

  • The existing generic inquiries will be left in Acumatica.

  • You and anyone else using Velixo will be able to use the functionality that is supported by those existing inquiries.

  • The new Velixo functionality will become available once the Acumatica Customization Project is updated by a system administrator.

Possible cause 2

If you see this message "out of the blue" without updating Velixo, it may be the case that someone inadvertently deleted one of the Generic inquiries used by Velixo from Acumatica.  In this rare scenario, it is recommended to proceed to the resolution below as soon as possible.

Resolution

To get rid of the message, an Acumatica administrator will need to update the Acumatica Customization Project.
